Richard Grootscholten is the current Youth Academy Director at Feyenoord Rotterdam F.C. in the Netherlands, and has been with the prestigious Dutch club since July 2016. Prior to being appointed as head of Feyenoord’s academy, Grootscholten spent time as technical manager of Zaglebie Lubin FC in Poland, as well as stints with Russian club Kuban Krasnodar and the Vancouver Whitecaps of the MLS, where he was Residency technical director and head coach from 2010-2012. Grootscholten also spent time as technical director of Sparta Rotterdam’s youth academy, as well as working with the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) as a certified tutor/instructor. Grootscholten holds a UEFA PRO license and boasts over thirty years of professional youth coaching experience.
