Marcel Lucassen

The World Football Academy’s football technique expert, Marcel Lucassen is the current technical director of Al-Nasr FC in Dubai, responsible for the youth academy in the club.  He will also work with the Football Federation of the UAE to assist with coaching education in the country.  Lucassen was formerly the assistant coach of the German U-17 national team and an individual coach for technique and tactics for the German FA (DFB).  With the DFB, Lucassen had full-time responsibility for the individual technical and tactical training of the German national youth teams.  With the U-17 squad, he helped the team to a runner-up finish at the UEFA European championships in 2015.  Lucassen has worked with the likes of Mesut Ozil, Sami Khedira, and Mario Gotze to help develop an exciting new generation of extremely skilful German stars, which culminated in a victory for Germany at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.  Prior to his work with the DFB, Lucassen spent time as individual coach at Manchester United, 1899 Hoffenheim, and MSV Duisburg.
